Our Lily declared herself “Chief Pig Whisperer” after doing this, and to this day grunts like Rudi whenever we drive past a farm.

The Big Farm Day was supposed to be brilliant — everyone was ready to celebrate. Then Wuselwind the mischievous goblin struck: every animal’s lucky charm has vanished. Rudi the pig won’t squeal, Henrietta the hen won’t lay eggs, and even Blitz the horse has given up. With Farmer Tom counting on you, you’ve got to race around eight farm stations, solve Wuselwind’s riddles and movement games, and bring back those lucky charms before the party collapses. It’s genuinely silly and physical — perfect for burning energy while following a proper story.

Best for: ages 4–9, indoors or garden (the movement games work either way), 2–10 little farmers. Genuinely expect 1–2 hours of actual busy-ness here, especially if you lean into the character work. Nowt better for keeping them off the telly on a rainy afternoon.

Hannah’s honest tip: the animal movements are brilliant for getting wiggly children focused. Oscar made up his own “Blitz the horse” dance which was genuinely the best thing, and the adults ended up doing it too. And if you’ve got a blanket or sheet, drape it over a chair — instant goblin cave. Wuselwind’s voice (ours was a bit like a naughty pixie) turns it from a game into a story.

When does this hunt work best?

A rainy afternoon with wiggly little ones, or a farm-themed birthday party — it’s silly and physical, with animal movement games between the riddles, so it’s brilliant for burning off energy.
