What age is the mini treasure hunt for?
Suggested ages 6-9, with a grown-up reading or helping. Play as one small team and take turns reading, solving and finding clues. Younger children may need help with reading and sums up to 20.
What do I print?
The PDF has 11 pages in total. Print pages 3-8 and page 10 to play: seven A4 sheets. You can read the setup guide and answers on screen. Print extra certificates if you want one per child. The puzzles work in colour or greyscale.
What do I need at home?
A printer, paper and pencil; scissors for a grown-up to cut the paper star. Choose a book, a clean shoe, a loose cushion, a table and an accessible coat pocket. The guide tells you exactly where to hide each sheet. Any extra treats or prizes are optional and supplied by you.
How long does it take?
This is a short five-station hunt. Playing time depends on the children, how much help they need and your hiding places. Read the guide and allow time to print and set up before you begin.
